Water Resource Engineering

BBO’s water resource engineering team is highly regarded within the industry. The team’s professional engineers and specialists provide a wide range of consulting, design, and modelling services for infrastructure and development projects.

Water resource services include:

Domestic Water Supply - design, modelling, and construction coordination for bulk mains, water mains, and reservoirs.  Our Water Resource Engineers also provide water network modelling for infrastructure planning and design.   

Wastewater - design, modelling, and construction coordination for pressure and gravity wastewater systems, and more recently - bulk mains, pump stations, and general gravity networks. The Water Resource team also provides modelling for planning and infrastructure design.

Stormwater - providing extensive stormwater management services that include stormwater management plans, integrated catchment management plans, complex river/stream outfalls, as well as stormwater conveyance, treatment, and attenuation systems.  The water resource team also provides hydrological studies and investigations.

Rivers and Streams - providing extensive river and stream hydraulics design including stream/riverbank stabilisation, stream bed stabilisation, stream realignments (urban and rural), and bridge hydraulics (including flood effects, bridge scour, and debris loading).  The water resource team also has extensive experience with the design of large culverts that allow fish passage, and work with the natural sediment and bedload transport of the waterways. In addition to design, the team also provides erosion and scour studies and assessments, as well as flood investigations and assessments. 

Additional Services - BBO’s water resource engineering team also provides peer reviewer services, 3 water impact assessments, and principal advisory services on large infrastructure projects.
